Meet the Tavern Keeper
Castle Hill events are hosted by our very own Tavern Keeper, Josh Sawtell and his team of Professional Dungeon Masters.
An artist across many mediums, Josh Sawtell is a firm believer in the pointed power and magical mystery that can be unlocked through a thoughtful narrative. He is charged with wielding his professional background in education and performance to bring a uniquely integrated fantasy world to life.
Josh is the creator of lore and the builder of Castell y Hyll as a region within the greater world of Dungeons & Castles.

Getting There
Castle Hill Tavern is located within the Hills District, about 30km northwest of Sydney’s CBD. If you are driving, there is a dedicated car park on site with ample spaces along with plenty of street parking very close by as the need arises. If you travel by public transport the 626, 601 & 651 buses (to name a few) can drop you right outside on Victoria Ave. Or for those more committed to getting in your daily steps, we are a short 20min walk from the Showground Metro Station.
