Join your fellow adventurers for a spooky special in The Whiskey Room @ Sarino’s. Chapter three beckons with a Halloween-themed short story that will impact the broader narrative. A story that blends reality and fantasy in a truly unique and engaging experience.

The realm of Castell y Hyll awaits those brave enough to explore the secrets, wonders and stories that are held within. Become part of the Book One Narrative and drive “Progress” within our shared world.

During this specially themed Thursday evening, you will:

• Play with a Professional Dungeon Master, each of which an outstanding storyteller and orchestrator of thrilling tabletop roleplaying game play.
• Explore an original short form adventure (with a horror theme!) written by your Professional DM.
• Enjoy thematic and SPOOKY surrounds within the Sarino’s customised play space.
• Have the chance to come in your best spooky D&D costume, and win a prize for your effort!
• Make an impact, and know the influence of others, on the hybrid fictional world of Castell y Hyll as created by your host, The Tavern Keeper.
• Engage with welcoming, social, inventive and accessible Dungeons & Dragons game play with resources and assistance at the ready.
• Access unique opportunities to explore real areas of Castle Hill to find treasure that will benefit your character as part of a treasure hunt style additive experience.

Location: Sarino’s Italian Restaurant “The Whisky Room”, Level One of Mullane’s Hotel, 36 Brookhollow Ave, Baulkham Hills NSW 2153.

Cost: $40, tickets are limited. A discounted 5-pack of sessions per player are available as well for $35 per session with additional bonuses provided for a special 10-pack of sessions. Please note that this special event is included in the standard ticket price.

Time: Meet at 6:30 for a 7pm start. Each session will conclude at approximately 10pm.

A Short Introduction:

Will you embrace Progress, or work to hinder it? That is the question that all adventurers questing within the realm of Castell y Hyll must face. But even with outbreaks of faction violence, surge of monstrous entities and fracturing of political powers, there have been rumours of a special kind of darkness in the north. One that could create an imbalance and impact the future of the realm.

Tasman Manor and it’s once lush and picturesque surrounding grounds is now largely forgotten by many that reside in Castell y Hyll. It’s Lord has not been seen in many a year and has since been assumed long dead. Now claims have surfaced of unknown entities roaming the nearby hills, dark magics seen from a distance and the manor itself shifting it’s form. Such a mystery cannot be left un-checked for masked powers can be a deceptively dangerous things if fallen into the wrong hands.

This is but one thematic moment of the stories to come within Book One exploring the region of Castell y Hyll. Throughout the Chapters that you play within the story contained to this year, the actions of your character matter and make a difference to our shared world. To what end, is not yet written. It can only be lived.

As you come to know the region of Castell y Hyll and its foundations within our own reality, you will be invited to engage with real locations in a unique way. Our “Merging Realities” initiative will present you with clues, riddles and puzzles that will take you to specific and real locations that connect with their unreal counter-parts within our fictional world. Discover lore, earn character boons and even win prizes as you blend both worlds and create a more meaningful and engaging experience!
